⛄ December 1st
Happy December 1st! I'm so grateful that you are apart of this community. When I think back to a year ago, I cannot believe that this seedling of an idea has turned into a community of over 600 people! It seems like we are getting closer and closer to a space, hopefully it will come to fruition in 2017.
Last month we hosted ODDLab, in partnership with Odd entertainment and Loft227. We created a space to discuss the election results and our roles as artists these next four years. Participants also shared what they are working on, a new book review series, an acting school, a social media app and more... We are going to have monthly networking events and artist salons starting in January.
I realize there is a lot of fear surrounding our new president elect. We want The Artist Co-op community to be a space to come together, to strengthen our networks and to help movers and shakers get their word out. We will speak up for inequality and be active supporters for people who experience inequity.
New update: We started a new social media campaign. It's called #ArtistCoopFeatures. Every Thursday we will share a new element of the future Artist Co-op space. Please feel free to send us your thoughts and ideas for the space you envision. #TheHouseThatArtistsBuild
